Durvet Apex Plus for XL Dogs 89-132lbs

What vaccinations does my dog need?

Core vaccines for dogs typically include rabies, canine distemper, parvovirus, and adenovirus. Non-core vaccines, such as those for Bordetella (kennel cough) and Lyme disease, may be recommended based on your dog’s lifestyle and risk factors. Consult your veterinarian to determine the appropriate vaccines for your pet.

When should my puppy receive vaccinations?

Puppies usually begin their vaccination series at 6 to 8 weeks of age, with boosters administered every 3 to 4 weeks until they are about 16 weeks old. This schedule helps ensure they develop adequate immunity against common diseases.

How often should I deworm my dog?

Puppies should be dewormed every two weeks, starting at two weeks of age, until they are weaned. Adult dogs should be dewormed regularly, with the frequency depending on their lifestyle and risk of exposure. Consult your veterinarian for a deworming schedule tailored to your dog.

Do I need to vaccinate my dog if they never go outside?

Yes, even indoor dogs can be exposed to diseases through airborne pathogens, other animals, or humans bringing contaminants into the home. Core vaccines are recommended regardless of your dog’s lifestyle.
